The proprietress, Daria Holmboe, and her staff provide complete pet care: grooming, dog day care, obedience training, u-wash facilities, retail items and honest caring advice. As well as training in their particular fields, all of the staff at Dog n' Suds have a genuine love for animals, which is something that cannot be taught.

Dog n' Suds provides the only U-wash facilities in the central Island area. A unique idea that helps pet owners avoid the hassle of bathing their dog or eat at home. Many clients have been skeptical at first, but become pleased with the results and are happy that there is an alternative to messy bathrooms. The tubs are large and waist-high to avoid back strain. For dogs that are too heavy to lift, they have a rolling staircase to assist. From between $10 to $16, pet owners can wash their pet without the mess. They provide shampoo, dryers, aprons and towels. The only thing you need is your dirty pet and your time. There are also specialty products and equipment available at a small extra charge. Their staff is also on hand for any and all help you may need.

Grooming is another important part of the Dog n' Suds services. Their professional groomers provide excellent care for your pet and top quality grooming. Whether it is a puppy's first time or a veteran dog, we provide individual care to meet the needs of each pet. The staff also provides grooming for cats, which in many cases is no small feat. The staff strive to work with the pet owner so that both the pet and owner are happy.

Doggy Day Care at Dog n' Suds is a relatively new addition that we are proud of. A unique idea that has come to be a very important service for our clients. There are many reasons for using this service. We care for lonely dogs; dogs that have busy owners and can't get the exercise they need. Or it may be a new puppy in need of socializing. It is a happy environment that all dogs enjoy. They can play, sleep, cuddle or just hang out. There is a large indoor area as well as an even larger safe outdoor yard where you will find ramps, a tunnel and in the summer, a small pool for cooling off. The dogs have access to safe, strong and fun toys of many varieties. Many clients have noticed positive changes with their dog since coming. Our daycare supervisor holds her Bachelor of Science with emphasis on animal behaviour studies and has completed training apprenticeship, dog training instructor's course, as well as special training in the area of canine aggression. It is beneficial to understand individual traits as well as pack behavioural dynamics.
